Deserves a Daily Re-post

I could post this day after day after day, and it would always be freshly relevant yet again. Fortunately, I have structured a monastic life here in this beautiful small city where I do not have much oppressive contact at all with other people. There is certainly nothing “social” about my life as it is lived. And yet, even venturing out into the city for an errand or a meeting in a coffee shop with someone or the rare restaurant visit, the meaning of Jung’s own suffering is brought back to me exactly as my own. This quote of his describes an experience I lived with, with such great difficulty, for so long, until reading in his words some years ago my own soul’s path through society, there was a kind of relief gained thereby.
