Since the outset of the war, I have followed this young man, Roman Trokhymets, quite avidly. His posts on social media are very compelling. He must have been a model or an actor before the war, and he uses social media to journal his day-to-day experiences on the front lines. No real showboating, just honest gritty inside look at the daily life there. I can’t believe his utter normalcy in the midst of such terror, and moment to moment fear add the stone-cold expectation of death, the death you see all around you and which you inflict to defend yourself.
