Due to the current surge of the Covid variants, and an upcoming schedule for the next three months which requires me to mix and mingle with people from southern France to London, from the Netherlands to Zürich, to Norway, and quite possibly to South Korea, all by November, it seemed appropriate to shore up my immunity in whatever way possible. Still feeling the effects of long-Covid from an infection I recovered from last February, it’s simply not worth the risk to contract this shit again.
(NB: Regarding travel — In case it matters to anyone, as it does to me, I am requiring all of my flight travel to be carbon neutral, whatever the cost. This means that I will forgo air travel wherever possible for rail travel, as I have been doing for years. On top of that, I insist that anyone inviting me for some teaching event includes in the cost of the transportation allowance they provide the full cost of carbon mitigation efforts like sustainable fuel 100% and/or reforestation.)
