In 2015, the famed great ape Koko (known to communicate in 1,000 gestures of sign language and could understand over 2000 words of spoken English) delivered a message to the UN Climate Conference:
“I am gorilla, I am flowers, animals. I am nature. Man Koko love. Earth Koko love. But man stupid, Stupid! Koko sorry. Koko cry. Time hurry! Fix Earth! Help Earth! Protect Earth, Nature see you.”
