Regard the second victim in each of these photos, and then reflect again whether the difficulty or “unfairness” of your situation, your condition, or your current relationship are really all that bad, after all.
Dialogue with him/her, from picture, and then check out the quality of your day again. What is he/she saying to you about your life?
I made this graphic as part of a teaching post to Instagram one year ago. Just recently re-discovered it, and thought it potentially useful to share again.
I have always suspected these things. This is why I keep social media activity to an absolute minimum, and, every day, limit the number of things that I respond or feel responsible to “react” to. They all unsettle the mind, and yet, through social media, even perfect strangers can now have easy tools to reach the device in my pocket even as I sit on the toilet.
