These are the words spoken to King Henry VIII by his advisor, the fearsome Cardinal Wolsey, as the king contemplated schism with the Roman church in order to remarry, risking war.

Or, as Zen Master Seung Sahn used to say about the human mind and karma: “This computer* [tapping the side of his head with his finger] — very high class computer. Never forget anything, any time. Even one time experience, any kind of thinking, it never forgets. So, be careful!”


*In his inimitable pronunciation, “kom-PYUU-tah”.
