The greatness of E. M. Cioran is that he takes the words right out of your mouth — before you even realised they were there. He is someone with the pithiest insight into our existential condition I have ever encountered, save the great Zen masters, some Rumi, and people like Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius. He is truly one of the greats.
